In the section “Add a machine”, you set up your machining center so that Prism can
generate G-code for it.
The default units for G-code means exactly what it says. Prism can generate G-code in inches (“G20” mode) and in millimeters (“G21” mode). You get the choice when exporting the G-code, and the default choice for the machine is selected here.
For the Coolant, enable External and/or Internal through spindle according to the
capabilities of your machining center. You may also customize the M-codes used to
enable and disable the different types of coolant as needed.
Rigid thread tapping synchronises the spindle speed with the feed to match the chosen thread pitch. If your machine and tool holders support Rigid tapping it can be
